One Hundred Words: A Pawprint

Day two with the Canon 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 EF IS STM (what a mouthful!) and I have to say I am absolutely loving how sharp it is. I walked down to the water near my house at night and spotted these paw prints in the sand. I decided to take a 20 second long exposure with the aperture as wide as it can go. I then made it black and white in Lightroom and played with the contrast a little.

I am really happy with how it turned out and owe full credit to the lens for achieving such sharpness with the depth of field peeling off slightly towards the top half of the photo.

I’ll be heading to Vivid in the next few days to test out the longer focal lengths as well as the Image Stabilization so stay tuned!
