One Hundred Words: A Flash & A Skateboard

IMG_0071

I recently got my hands on some Yongnuo RF603 II Wireless Flash Transceivers and had been itching to test them out.

I decided to go for a roll down to a spot with a big wide wall and try and do some skating in front of the camera to see how they sync up. I’ve never used wireless flashes before so this was totally new to me. It’s also crazy hard to skate while firing a flash at yourself, timing was way off and composition was a little off – you can really see the barrel distortion towards the edges. I really like the shadows and want to play around with light a bit more as well as understand how to make all the kit work together properly.

I decided to shoot mostly on Auto because it was just a test but I’m looking forward to playing around with two flashes rather than just one.
